I am normally a very giving person. I like to give up a lot of my time, energy and passion to nearly everything that I do. But there is one thing that I am not very good at and that is buying gifts for other people, family members, and friends. I have a number of family members and friends are currently in need of different types of gift items. And I do not have any idea what to get any of them. All I know is that I would like to get them a personalized gift of some sort. I think personalized gifts or good and valuable because they showed that the person trying to give really cared about the recipient.

In my quest for different types of gifts. I will be needing graduation gifts, engagement gifts, and even Irish gifts. I have some friends who lives in Ireland that are having a birthday party. And I like to send them a few personalized Irish gift item as well. I also have some friends who are retiring so a personalized gifts is also required.

After spending a few hours on different types of personalized gifts websites, I have at least a few ideas of the types of gifts that I want to buy. You can choose all types of engagement gifts or even other different gifts and have them either engraved, embroidered or even laser etched. This way the gifts will have their name, date or even their initials on them. I think everyone likes to have personalized gift items because it shows everyone else that the thing that they have received its actually theirs.

Fifteen years as a hospice nurse, I have seen many forms of handicap adaptive equipment.  Some were outdated and cumbersome and really just became more of a nuisance than a benefit.

Remember the old wheelchair lifts we use to see in the 70’s. Man, were they tanks. I think you had to expand your doorframes just to accommodate one in your home.  What a pain they were.

Now that Mobility Specialists new technology has progressed into the new millennium, we now have the luxury models that are lightweight, somewhat smaller scale and offer all the features of comfort for both the patient and the caregiver.

Just recently, I had this client that lived on beachfront property.  What good is that if you can’t go sit on the beach to take in the therapeutic sounds and view of the ocean.

To my surprise, technology has even advanced to produce a beach wheelchair. YES!
Here is what I found.

FEATURES including Durable non-corrosive space-age PVC construction, Stainless steel hardware, Non-corrosive nylon wheel bearings, Easily disassembles into 3 pieces for transport, Single motion dual parking brakes, 250lb (113-kg) weight capacity, Anti-tip design, Adjustable safety belt, 6ft (1.8mtr) 8 panel umbrella, Spacious storage bag, Sliding footrest, Comfortable cushion seat and One year warranty

BENEFITS include 4-wheel design prevents tipping, Large wheel design easily rolls on sand, snow and other soft soils.

I am utterly amazed with this wheelchair. Not many of my clients would need this in their every day use.  I believe if I have access to one of these state of that art beach wheelchairs, I could offer visits to the beach for my clients who are able and would love to have that in their life during this very difficult time.
