Introduce A Bit Of Variety to Your Southern California Vacation

General August 12th, 2009

I’d like to make a suggestion for a summer vacation travel destination where you can find a great deal of variety in the type of local attractions offered.  We are all different in exactly what we’d like to do during our summer travel.  It may include hitting a bunch of theme parks like Knott’s Berry Farm, or relaxing in the mountains.  Others love to see historical sites and still others love to play golf.

One of the most well-known vacation attractions in Southern California is the resort area around Disneyland; this includes the Downtown Disney retail entertainment center and California Adventure, on which Disney is spending around one billion dollars over the next few years.

If you haven’t been to Anaheim in several years, you’ll be amazed at the changes.  The addition of Disney’s California Adventure alone has changed the whole atmosphere of the Resort, and with the billion-dollar upgrade now underway this will only continue into the future.  If you do any people watching, you will notice a very international mix of visitors at the Resort.  In fact, people watching at Disneyland can be a fascinating activity, with a rich mix of cultures all in one place.

There are not a lot of other places in the world where you’ll find such a complex melting pot of nationalities as in Southern California.  Although there are often visitors from Europe, Africa and Asia, the countries along the Pacific Ocean are particlularly well represented.

You’ll find quite a number of ethnic communities scattered throughout Southern California, and worth a visit in your summer travel activities.  In Los Angeles County the obvious targest would be Koreatown, west of downtown, Little Tokyo to the west and Chinatown just north of the central business district.  Orange County is home to Little Saigon and Fourth Street in downtown Santa Ana.

Summertime-Don’t forget to enjoy the outdoor with hardly a simple additions.

That’s it, it is finally here, the heat is growing and it is about time to start savoring more and more the outside. If you are a householder, there are few additions that you can make at home to your garden that may make the whole difference. You will not longer want to go out and away to enjoy the open airs when you can have all the fun in your own garden.

An essential thing is a solid lawn. If you don’t have one already, be sure to plant one. Frequently in hot areas when there is not much rain, people do not incline to plant one. To get around this problem a good solution is to recover and recycle every drop of rainfall you can, during the winter. There are nations that this has become a must when you build your house.

Once you have the lawn, maintain it nice and short. A lawn mower is essential and I advise you get a good one. Lawn mowers come in different shape and sizes and one of the most popular ones is the self propelled lawn mower. Looking on the size of your lawn, you can also own an electric lawn mower or one that runs on fuel.

Another fun thing is the . Keep Off the metal gazebo if you are living in a hot area, the Amish gazebo is a nice option but is generally costly. There many different types of gazebos you can choose from, and it all depends on what are your needs and budget.

You can also invest in your pet, if you own one, or construct a dog kennel, this will provide your dog (or cat) a place that he can savour in, the warm weather, likewise. If you are about to spend more time outdoors, your dog will not be far away in his nice new place.

If you are genuinely serious about making your garden to be “your second home” a nice adequate add-on that you should study is an outdoor kitchen or a fire pit. A place where you will be able to cook and prepare your meals outdoor.

So, now that you are well prepared the only matter left is to install a hammock so you will not get inside until the end of summer. And do not forget to have fun !

Want to have Sixpack Abs?

General August 12th, 2009

Anyone with a sense for good looks who wants to improve his or her looks will try to get better defined abs.

Many people are trying almost everything to get a six pack abdominals (in german: Sixpack Übungen) and quite often nothing is happening. But how can one know what gets you nearer to your goal? How can you tell what are good six pack exercises and bad six pack exercises? There are 3 main abdominal exercises many people rely on that are not so effective at all:

First: An exercise you can forget is the standard sit up. It hurts your lower back what really disqualifies it… and it only works a few of your abdominal muscles so to avoid it is a real no brainer.

Number two: Crunches. Some call the crunch a minimized version of the sit up and it surely puts less strain on your lower back. Nevertheless I don’t count it to to the best six pack training exercises. Why? Only your upper abs (mainly) are mainly properly trained, it does more or less nothing for the lower abs and what is lacking, too, is a proper range of motion to really work your abs effectively. Third, it is still not totally harmless for your back and neck.

Number three: Avoid any of the useless stuff that you see on TV. Those guys are marketing geniuses who will say their product will put you in proper training positions if you just hand them enough bucks, but they are all junk. All you really need is a set of proven six pack exercises and the proper training + nutrition advice.

“The Truth About Six Pack Abs” is an abdominal fitness ebook by Mike Geary, Personal Trainer and certified Nutrition Specialist. The program has sixpack abs at its focus and includes effective full body routines, and a nutrition plan to get rid of fat around both your waist and your body overall. That being said, it’s not for you if you are looking for fitness short cuts. This program works, but it takes effort.

But up to now this product was only available in english language. Recently the ebook has been translated to german (“Mike Geary: Bauchmuskeltraining“)

If you speak german and want to learn more about muscles in general have a look at www.muskulatur.net There are sections for each of the big muscle groups and about how to train them (e.g. turbulence training e-book). General topics are covered like how muscle grows and what function which type of muscle has.
