Side Effects of Botox Injection

General September 15th, 2009

Botox is used clinically in small substances to treat strabismus (a misalignment of the eyes) and facial spasms and other neurological disorders characterized by abnormal muscle contractions. Botox is also used by cosmetic surgeons to smooth frown lines temporarily.

Just like any other medical procedure, Botox is not without its share of side effects. Not everyone will experience side effects; the vast majority of patients feel comfortable enough to return to work, for example, immediately following the procedure. However, some side effects may develop over time and manifest themselves several days later, while others may have a more immediate impact.

As Botox will paralyze muscles and prevent them from moving, the greatest side effects generally arise from over-treatment. If used in excess, Botox may produce an undesirable result by immobilizing too much of the face, or as in the example above, limit use of the lips.

Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON botox side effects persist or become bothersome: Anxiety; back pain; dizziness; drowsiness; dry eyes; dry mouth; eye irritation; facial pain; flu-like symptoms; headache; inability to focus eyes; increased cough; nausea; neck pain; pain, redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site; runny nose; sensitivity to light; sweating; upset stomach; weakness of the muscles at or near the injection site.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Botox: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bleeding at the botox injection site; chest pain; difficulty swallowing; drooping of the upper eyelid; eyelid swelling; fever; irregular heartbeat; paralysis; pneumonia; seizures; shortness or breath; speech changes or problems; unusual weakness; vision changes.

Please note – some side effects for Botox may not be reported. Always consult your doctor or healthcare specialist for medical advice.

Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation) is spreading like wildfire!

General September 15th, 2009

The iPod Touch debuted only one year ago, and Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation) is the first update. I was excited to pick up the new iPod Touch at the Apple Store because I had never owned a first generation, though I do own iPhones.

As an iPod music player, the iPod Touch is fantastic. As a photo browser it’s great. As a video player it is, screen size limitation aside, incredible. And as a game platform it is super fun! Throw in PDA capabilities and WiFi connectivity and you’ve got a major winner. Actual volume buttons are now placed on the side of the iPod Touch as they are on the iPhone. This is very convenient . It allows you to adjust the volume of your music, without having to pull the entire device out of your pocket and activate the screen. A time saver.

Many people requested a built-in speaker for the iPod Touch like is available on the iPhone. Apple listened. However, there is one important point to make on this! The 8 GB iPod Touch is incredibly small, and Apple is forced to put an incredibly small speaker. In a quiet room, the speaker is still useful for previewing a song you might want to buy, or for playing games. However, still, if you want great sound, you need to connect your headphones.

I love this Gadget! It is the best internet tablet you can get. If you want to have a portable computer this is the one to get. You can do email, play games, even chat online. Best part is that it fits in your wallet… not really.

How to increase traffic with classifieds

General September 15th, 2009

Many webmasters are using free classified affiliate programs to open new markets and provide their guests a reason to return. Whenever you give your potential customers a reason to come back to your website, you gain more opportunities to earn their trust…and their sales.

Here’s how to do it. You place a hyperlink to your classified ads site using appropriate keywords for your market (“Free Honda Ads”, “Classic Car Classifieds,” “Wholesale Car Ads,” etc.). Engines like Google just love these types of links, and including these keywords will inevitably improve your ranking for exactly the type of buyer you want to attract to your web pages. Greater visibility means better traffic.

Here’s something else. When your site guests post free ads, they are presented with an offer to upgrade their free ad with enhancements (feature ads, color, italicized listing, etc). This sets their advertisement apart from the other ads and gains better exposure for them. Most classified ad partner programs will pay you a percentage (usually 10-25%) of the upgrade cost.

Have your own web site? Get this awesome WordPress classifieds plugin to generate your own classified ad website and keep all of the commission yourself. You might choose to give away free classifieds or charge a fee as your site visitors post ads to buy or sell their products on your site – you set the terms. Simply add a WordPress blog to your existing website, apply this theme, and you’re ready to go. You have just generated another income stream for your web site.

By creating and incorporating a free classified ad affiliate program into your website, you create the ultimate win-win-win. You provide your prospects with a value-added benefit, you improve your rankings with the search engines by incorporating keyword hyperlinks into your site, you add additional markets to expose to your product, you create an additional revenue stream as they enhance their ads, and you provide your prospects a reason to return to your site again and again.

Sign up for a classified ad affiliate program right now and watch as your business improves.

Tips for Buying Glue Guns and Hot Melt Adhesives

General September 15th, 2009

Glue guns are available in low temperature and high temperature hot-melt versions. Low temperature units heat up to about 120º C and are more suitable where a high temperature is undesirable. High-temperature units} heat up to around 195°C and give a stronger bond. Also on the market are dual glue guns which include a switch so that both low and high temperatures can be used for different jobs.

For industrial applications, there are a comprehensive range of heavy duty glue guns available which are designed to optimise production efficiency. These units range from high output pneumatic glue guns to adjustable temperature units.

Glue sticks are on the market in various sizes for different types and sizes of glue guns. The most common size has a diameter of 11mm. Glue sticks are also available in various lengths, from about 10cm upwards. However, most glue guns will accommodate glue sticks of any length. Hot melt and low temperature glue sticks are available for the different types of glue gun. Hot melt adhesives do not contain any solvents or water. They bond when they decrease in temperature and this means that they can set quickly.

For industrial purposes, different types of glue sticks are available for specialist uses. The most common diameters are 12 and 43mm. For home use, there are only a few types of glue sticks that are available. Glue sticks have different open times, which is the duration needed to form a bond. This varies from a couple of seconds to a few minutes.

Glue guns need to be turned on a few minutes before they are used so that the heating element and adhesive can warm up. As the glue stick increases in temperature it melts and then it can be used to glue various materials together. Care should be taken when operating hot glue guns as hot glue can be dangerous.

Powerball 250 hz review

General September 15th, 2009

If you’d like to take some gentle exercise that can strengthen your wrist and forearm, there are various ways of doing it, which we’ll come to later. And a strong wrist and forearm are very important if you’re into racquet sports, such as tennis, or sports like golf.

You can use a tennis ball and squeeze it – that’s an old standby. But there’s a more modern way too. Using something called the Powerball 250 you can use the power of the gyroscope to create a smooth and effective way to exercise.

Just by starting up a Powerball in your hand and rotating your wrist you exericse the wrist and muscles in your forearm. As well as being effective it’s quite fun, too.

The amount of ‘force’ you experience is a function of the torque produced by the Powerball 250 hz. You can influence the torque by moving your wrist faster or slower and controlling how far you move your wrist – smaller circles producing faster spin.

Powerball 250 hz pro weighs just a little more than a tennis ball, but it’s much more versatile because it produces a non-impact force which can be used for rehabilitation as well as strength improvements.

If you take the rotation up to 15,000 rpm you’ll experience nearly 40 pounds of pressure – imagine being able to put a 40 pound weight in your pocket! With something as small and portable as the Powerball you can truly take your exercise regime with you almost anywhere.

The powerball is not recommended for children under 14 and as with all types of fitness regimes you should seek the advice of your doctor before embarking on such a regime.
